A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of participating in a 1920's Inspiration Shoot. I'm developing a serious love for styled shoots!!

Spokane Styled Shoot: {Vintage Airplane}

Over Easter weekend, I was so lucky to be able to meet and work with the amazingly talented Keri Doolittle. Spending the day with Keri through her mentoring was fantastic. I walked away with so much drive and energy. She had left me wanting more, more, more!

The icing on the cake? Being invited to participate in a vintage-inspired styled shoot at Felt's Field. The incredibly talented vendors who helped pull it all together:

Bump! {Olympia, Washington Materntiy Photographer}

When I started this photography endeavor, I underestimated how often I would come into contact with people from my past. I attended high school with this sweet mama-to-be, and it was so fun to have an opportunity to chat again!

I also don't think I've ever laughed as hard (or as often) as I did during their session. What a fun pair! I'm on pins and needles waiting to meet their sweet little Baby M. in a couple of weeks. Watch for her newborn pictures!

The B Family {Olympia, Washington Photographer}

I'm not sure how it is possible, but this little cutie is nearly half way through her second year of life. You may remember photos from her first birthday celebrations back in March. She may be growing by leaps and bounds, but her love of the camera was as strong as ever! what a treat!

Little Miss C is very lucky to have such an amazing mommy and daddy. They're so happy and full of life... and made my job so easy!

The G Family {Olympia Family Photograhpy}

I had the opportunity to meet with this cute bunch a few weeks ago. Their twins are absolutely *full* of energy. Boy, did they have me on my toes!

At ten weeks, I wasn't so sure I'd be able to get sweet little Baby K into any of the sleepy newborn poses we all love. After an hour or so, she gave up her fight to stay awake and we were successful!

Those cheeks. They get me every time.

Jaden's sweet mama and daddy are friends of ours. They came for a visit last night, and I just couldn't let him leave this morning without grabbing a couple of quick photos.

He's bigger every time I see him, and one of these days, he's not going to sit so still for me anymore. I s'pose I'll just have to get out my running shoes.

...and those curls. Can we discuss the curls for a moment?

Engaged! {Olympia Engagement Photography}

When she told me he had proposed, I secretly hoped I'd get the chance to take some engagement shots...

...and lucky me, my wish came true!

I have a good time whenever I'm behind my camera. I won't lie. But there's something *different* about taking pictures for a friend. You can be a little more silly, and little more yourself... and they won't think you're a raving lunatic.

Even when you're asking them to lay on the ground at the edge of a parking lot.

And if they do think you're a little crazy? They're kind enough not to tell you. Or make faces.

Congratulations again, guys! Can't wait to take your wedding photos in May...

Turning One {Olympia Washington Event Photography}

I'm not going to lie. When I scheduled this session with Baby J's (another Baby J??) sweet mama, I was a little bit nervous. He was over three weeks old at the time of his session, and my oldest 'newborn' to date.

Imagine my delight when he slept through the entire session? Hours of posing, wiggling, shifting... and not a peep!

Ok--maybe a couple of *tiny* peeps at the end. But they hardly even count.
